Hi there !
Glad you want to know more about me and the art I produce ! 🙂
I am a 27 y.o self taught Digital Artist and Tattoo Apprentice in Nice, South France with a Computer Science engineering degree
Around 2012, after graduating from high school, I joined an engineering school in the South of Paris called Polytech Paris Sud. Back then, my purpose was to be somehow useful to society.
On my spare time, I discovered joy playing around with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Not long after, thinking about what I could do with my artworks, I decided to print them out on tee shirts and sweaters. That’s how Verset Paris was born, a brand of clothing I dedicated myself to for 3 years.
In 2015, I got given the opportunity of doing an exchange program at the prestigious University of Hong Kong where I studied for 9 months.
After graduation in 2017, I was exhausted and decided to take a year off. I travelled around Europe, participated to the first edition of the Hacking Health Hackaton in Berlin and did Beekeeping in French Guyana.
There I had a dream. It was so vivid and linked to my inner self that I decided to pay attention. One way or another, I needed to become an artist. I jumped on a plane back to Paris and took the entrance exam at Les Gobelins to study 2D/3D animation, but I failed.
Then the idea of becoming a Tattoo Artist popped in my mind. So I started drawing everyday to fill in a 100 pages Portfolio book.
When I started gaining confidence in my drawing skills, I thought I’d need savings to afford an apprenticeship and invest in all the required equipments (iPad, Macbook Pro, tattoo machines, disposables…) so I decided to do one last IT job.
After 3 months of job hunting, I got hired by ISI.NC, a human sized company based in New Caledonia where I developed the backend of web apps for different clients such as an energy provider and a clinic.
Two years passed by, living new experiences on one of the most remote island in the world. It was a lot of fun ! But my dream never faded away, I thought about it every single day and never forgot why I was working hard.
I bought an iPad, created digital art with Procreate, studied anatomy for 6 months through online materials and live model class sessions. I also got into a tattoo shop for 3 months as an apprentice. I spent there all my lunch times and weekends.
2021. I am now back in France and settled down south in Nice.
My Tattoo journey can finally begin !
